Updating the firmware

Before updating the firmware, if any applications are running, quit them all.

1. Press parameter knob 1 on the MS-100BT to open the MENU.

2. Select Bluetooth in the MENU and select PAIRING. Then, use the computer to pair the MS-100BT as a Bluetooth device.

NOTE For this update, leave PAIRING selected.

NOTE There is no need to pair in the Bluetooth pane of the Mac System Preferences.

3. Double-click the “ZOOM MS-100BT system v1.30 Updater” icon for the firmware updating application to launch it.

4. Click the “Bluetooth Device” field and select “ZOOM MS-100BT (number that identifies the specific device)”.

5. Click the Execute button to start the firmware update. A progress bar shows the status of the firmware update.

The firmware update execution screen appears on the MS-100BT display.

Do not interrupt the power to the MS-100BT while the firmware is being updated.

About Device Firmware:

Applying a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your unit can bring various enhancements, include workarounds for diverse problems encountered by the device, and improve or add newly developed features.

On the other hand, downgrading the firmware version can recover the device’s functionality in the event of a software update either turning up faulty or causing the unit’s overall performance to drop.
