Installation Instructions

1. Copy OS.NEW to the Compact Flash card. (Rename to OS.nEW if needed)

2. Reset unit by turning it off, and then on again.

3. Wait for Update to complete. You will see "Firmware Update Complete!" on the screen when finished.

Note: You can alternatively use the menu in Winscript under Help-->Update Firmware to download and update the firmware.

NOTE: When the update is complete, the OS.NEW file will be renamed to OS.SAV so that the update does not

repeat when the hardware is powered-up again. If you want to use a single flash card to update multiple units (for example, an entire Binloop cage), you can change the name of the OS.NEW file to FACTORY.NEW. The FACTORY.NEW file will perform an update just like OS.NEW, only it will not be

renamed at the end of the update process. This means that after an update, you can remove the flash card from the product and insert it into another product to perform another update.

NOTE: Updating the firmware may cause the LightCuePro to reset to it's factory default network settings. Make sure that you remember or write down these settings before updating your LightCuePro. (IP Address, username, password, etc)

About Device Firmware:

Applying a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your unit can bring various enhancements, include workarounds for diverse problems encountered by the device, and improve or add newly developed features.

On the other hand, downgrading the firmware version can recover the device’s functionality in the event of a software update either turning up faulty or causing the unit’s overall performance to drop. However, bear in mind that applying an older firmware isn’t recommended and might not always be possible.
