New Features:

- MCS index is now displayed with data rate under Wireless Settings page.

Fixed Issues:

- GUI Firmware Upgrade via TFTP could be very slow.
- Cluster dashboard graphic could only display maximum of 2GB traffic volume.
- Bonjour AP name are the same as AP system name.
- GUI does not allow user to change Wi-Fi security if the configured passphrase contains double quotes (").
- Unable to set bgn and a-na-ac mode via SNMP.
- Cannot login to the AP GUI if the password contains double quotes (").
- Wi-Fi channel width is automatically set to 40MHz after changing from bg to ng or bgn mode.
- Read-only user is able to save unknown and know AP list.

Known issues:

- Clients fails to connect to the SSID when there is a high volume of multicast traffic is running in the network.
- UCT is displayed instead of IST in current time under India time zone.
- In statistics Page, the Tx packets and bytes are inclusive of Multicast & Broadcast packets in Dashboard.
- AP shows only first 20 clients when it work in Ensemble mode and it expects admin to go to individual AP to see on rest of the clients.
- When administrator configures one of the APs in the Ensemble, then the AP will push the configuration to the rest of the Ensemble and assumes the control of the Ensemble.
- No way to select which channels to be used (or not to be used) for Auto Channel Allocation feature in Ensemble mode. Right now, we are forced to use all the channels.
- For 5Ghz Auto-channel logic will select from all non-DFS allowed channels for the current country code/revision list.
- For 2.4Ghz Auto-Channel logic will select 1, 6, 11 and it is hard coded.

Upgrade Procedure:

- Download and extract the new firmware to a convenient place such as your desktop.
- Login to the AP web interface.
- Select Maintenance > Upgrade > Firmware Upgrade
- Click the Browse button and locate the image (.tar) upgrade file.
- Click the Apply button to initiate the upgrade process.
- During the upgrade process, the wireless access point automatically restarts. The upgrade process typically takes several minutes. When the Test LED turns off, wait a few more seconds before doing anything with the wireless access point.

About Access Point Firmware:

If you update the Access Point (AP) firmware, your device can benefit from changes that fix multiple issues encountered by wireless clients, correct different user interface problems, add various functionalities, and include support for newly developed protocols.

Before performing this task, we recommend that you read and understand all the installation steps, because there are many AP models and manufacturers available. Each producer strives to make the procedure as simple as possible, but there are cases when it’s anything but that.

It is also advisable that you apply a new access point firmware in a steady power environment (UPS unit will satisfy this need), using an Ethernet cable rather than a wireless connection. The latter can be easily interrupted.
